The Nature of Today's Energy 5/28/2014: Support Towards Being Okay

Music inspires me to write. I think it will aid me in finishing up this weeks entries. 

Christopher Hayes posted a statement on Facebook last week which said,

"If my life was made into a country song I'd ask Reba McEntire to sing it."

This has been stuck in my mind for a while. I have been thinking about the soundtrack of our life. What if we could pick a person or group to sing our song? Who would you pick? Who would it be? What genre of music would the song be labeled under?

Music and lyrics are there to soothe our aching heart. They supply us with support. They can lift us up or bring us down. You relate the song to the situation that has been happening in your life. 

The cards speak of support. They speak of generosity and prosperity. The detour has led us to a new destination. That destination turned into our place of prosperity. What song will you be singing? 

What is playing on your spiritual radio? My song is half bitter sweet and carefree. A crooked smile. It provides me with a little bit of wisdom and disaster. It brings me to a state of "Okay". 

I use to advise those around me to think of a state of perfection. To state that everything is perfect. There were those that stated to me that it was hard. It was hard to see things as perfect when everything was crumbling to the ground. They use to ask how to see the good within the bad. Here is my reply. 

It is not about getting to a state of perfection without going through the grief. R.E.M. states it best when the lead singer states, "Everybody hurts". 

The change is only painful because we are wishing to stay the same. I agree that it can be difficult to change your train of thought from always seeing the worst to only seeing perfection. How about this?

Perfection is the acceptance of the current situation as only good. You are accepting the circumstance of your choice. 

I always tell my students during an important spiritual lesson that they have homework for life. It can be done now or later but it is always going to be part of their journey. It is part of the process and they will always be working on it. 

Your homework for life is to simply get to a state of "Being Okay". If you can achieve this then you will be able to accept the circumstance that has been created. Then you will be able to see the perfection that is presented. 

What does music have to do with this?

Music brings us to a moment of clarity. We associate our experience with another person. When I am mad I play this song or when I am sad I play that song. It helps me think. It brings me back to the start. 

Maybe you need to hear that song today to get you back to a state of "Being Okay". 

Perfection is already there, we simply have to recognize it.

The Nature of Today's Energy 6.20.13: Tools of Change

Wednesday 6.20.13:

The card of the day is the Magician. The hidden energy card is the Hierophant. The card sits in the position of Angels = Spirit and guidance.

I sure do need a little guidance right now.

This Mystic wants to go home. I always state this. I am tired. This Mystic needs a safe harbor. A place to rest. To be whole again.

That place is Ventura.

Have you ever been challenged by the darkest night? The deepest black hole?

Have you ever found yourself struggling with a decision that is to have this huge impact on your life? 

Have you ever noticed that it turns out to be part of the greater scheme of things? It was not the great obstacle to get over. It was simply part of the obstacle course. 

When people train to be survivalist within the great wide open, I am sure they are given some supplies to get started. What if you had nothing? 

What if you were stranded on an island with no supplies? No knife, no phone, no food, and certainly no pot to cook with? 

Sometimes I feel as I am on an island. Searching for the right tools to simply survive. 

What if no tools were needed? 
To set sail on a piece of plank. To just jump into the ocean and know that things will take place for the better. Kind of like the adventure I am having at this very moment. 

Should I jump into the ocean and see what takes place? Or should I stay on the island and wait?

What could I be waiting for? A sign? A glimmer of hope? 

Listening to your inner voice can be hard. It is scary. To have so much Faith in what is unknown. In what could take place? 

The funny thing about it, is that either way, you will not fail. 

Whether you stay and try to work it out or get up and leave with just a pack of Tarot Cards, you will not fail. 

No one can make or break you, except your own Ego. Nothing is set in stone. 

Sometimes people of this world worry about their jobs and security. Can I state something? 
That job that you are working at is not secure. It can let you go at any time. You can get up and leave at any time. You may have to put your letter of resignation in, due to the fact that you have to leave the state. The life you are living at this moment may change, you will have to stop working, and then what? 

Life still pushes forward. You still exist. You are still breathing.  The stage is set and the performance is still happening. So why worry? 

Take your first step. 

In my life, there has never been a person, that stated to me they knew exactly what they wanted to do at 22 and they are living the dream. That dream can be shattered. 

The Mystic understands that change is always happening and when you get set in your ways, then Source is there to break down the security of that wall. Today should have been the Tower card. Destruction of that which has held us to the ground. 

I may be tired. I may state that I am tired but one thing is for sure; This Mystic's lantern will keep on shinning. That fire will always burn. 

Maybe I just needed a small change of course and now it is time to head home. Return to that which I tried so hard to get away from. Now I know that Ventura was a great place. That the bored part was simply my inner spirit needing a little bit of change. To see how strong I am. To see just how great of a Tarot reader I am. Verification of that awesome spiritual side. The only difference between me and a person going to an ashram, is that I decided to meditate and be enlightened in Austin, within the grit and grime of life. The light within the dark. 

I know that this is to be positive but even the greatest Mystic gets the blues. This will pass. It must start with a step. A step into the unknown and the Faith that it will all work out for the better. That there is good.

The Nature of Today's Energy 6.8.13: The A-ha Moment

Saturday 6.8.13:

The card of the day is Authority or the Emperor. The hidden energy card is Judgement. The card sits in the position of Fire = information and inspiration. 

The phoenix rises. This is the statement, I think of, when I see the judgement card. Are you ready to be reborn? Are you ready to wake from the transformation of the the Death card? We sleep in the beginning and float around, looking for out next lesson. Looking for our next path. When we find it, the path is made clear and we begin our journey back to reality. Back to this plane of existence. The manifestation of that path is now set. The process begins to unfold. 

Look at it this way:

When we first wake from a deep sleep, everything is blurry, and your eyes do not want to open up. You walk around, half asleep, and bump into things. Your spirit knows that you must get up and move forward, but your body is always a few seconds behind. This is the Judgement card. You must take your new found path, tool, power, and apply it to what you are dealing with at this very moment. This is the A-ha moment. The stars have lined up and everything makes sense. Now what to do with the new found information? What to do with the new found you?

The answer has been given. Information is supplied from Source and we must learn to process it. We may wake up half asleep, but soon our eyes become enlightened. We look into the mirror, brush our spiritual teeth, and start the new day.

The Nature of Today's Energy 6.6.13: The Dominant Ego and Faith

Thursday 6.6.13:

When I usually write my entries, there are moments where I feel like I am writing each and every paper that goes into a fortune cookie. A little piece of hope given to each person after their experience with the meal that was prepared for them. Spiritual fruit for the soul. 

The Dominant Ego can get in our way. We see this Ego when the illusions of the journey are set before us. The road may be dark, but we soon learn, that the light is not to shine on the outside. The light is to shine within and reflected back on our environment. 

The card of the day is Sacrafice = The Hanged Man. The hidden energy card is the Moon. 
The card sits in the position of School = Lessons. 

What lesson are you learning right now? 

The lesson of humility? The lesson of joy? 

What part of the movie are you filming at this moment? A flashback? The struggle? 

Have you ever noticed that a lot of horror movies have the victim running in the woods? Or they are running through a field. Could this be related to the Moon card? Is the person, the victim is running from, really their Shadow Self? 

Having a psychic ability can be a gift or a curse. Their are some light bringers that try to snuff the candle out. Then there are some light bringers who think that they are the best in the world. 

There is also the light bringer who knows that they are part of the whole. They can change that which is around them. They travel a road of psychic energy and produce, from the soil, spiritual fruit for others to take in and investigate. To analyze. To apply to their own spirit. 
Some will taste the fruit and spit it out with disgust. Others will want more. Some will not even take the time to eat the fruit, for fear can make a person believe that if they do, then they will get sick. 

The mind can be a prison cell at times. What we think, can create a box that we must live in. Who wants to live in a box?

Faith is part of love. To love that which hurts us, will change the nature of the energy. To kiss that which is ugly, will eventually make it beautiful. 

I could relate this to a crystal. Some people only want the purest crystal. No marks or blemishes. No scratch in sight. They think that if it has no blemish or scratch, then the power will surely be great. 

Then there are those who see the true potential of a crystal, blemish and all. They understand that it is just a prop. A prop that will propel them even further than before. The crystal may be scratched, blemished, and half near broken in two, but the crystal worker loves it with no conditions applied. Source has given them this wonderful gift to work with. It may not look like much, but it provides one hell of a punch. 

Sometimes we have to accept what is being given. What is blemished on our journey? We have to apply the half used tool with the task at hand. We have to appreciate the hand me down. Our Ego self will state to us "That will not work. Why waste your time? Give up and wait for a better tool."

What if this is all you have to work with. There are people who have made miracles happen with much less. Do not give up. Keep evolving. Keep using your ability to the best of your nature. Keep loving. 

Sometimes it only takes one act of love to save the world from certain Death. What if the scales were off balance, and it was your act of kindness, that tipped them back into balance?
Think about it.

The Nature of Today's Energy 5.11.13: A Time of Healing

Saturday 5.11.13:

Today is very much a day of healing. The card of the day is Temperance. The hidden energy card is Death. 

I have been asleep for most of the day. I have noticed that when my spirit is going through change and it makes a major breakthrough, then I tend to get really sick, and a break through happens. My gift changes and manifests into something wonderful. 

I can advise you that getting sick is not a bad thing. Our body requires it, in order to become immune to that certain virus. 

A healer must take on the form of sickness, in order to understand it, and to be able to heal others. There is not much I can say about the energy of today, but I can state this much. 

Spirits and energy are one in the same. The energy is unknown, so we become afraid of it. Sickness can set in, when we receive a wonderful psychic attack. They are no bueno. In the end we move forward. We learn to heal. We advance in our gift.

The Nature of Today's Energy 5.9.13: Restriction

Thursday 5.9.13

The card of the day is Eight of Swords. The hidden energy card is Judgement.

Restriction is a spectacular art. We do it to our self everyday and at times, become perfect examples of non-movement. We state, "my hands are tied. I can not do it"

At that point in time we fail to see the truth. We fail to be the best that we can be. 

There are times when we require a trumpet to blow and state "wake up!"

We require the crashing sound of glass from the other room, to know that something is wrong. 

To know that we need to put our attention on something else. 

Maybe we require a distraction so that our sense of hearing can focus on the way out. The Eight of Swords, usually shows a woman bound and blind folded in a field of swords. There is an opening and she is in the path that will take her to a clearing of good, but she can not see it or feel it. 

There are times when I want to go further than what the card is stating. Today is such a day...

In my mind, I can hear a person calling out to her, with instructions, on where to step. Do you think that person is stating "you will be okay"?

Do you think they are giving her precise directions?

Do you think that the person is Source? 

Maybe the person is your inner voice. Maybe the person is your best friend. Oh, how I miss my best friend Shaun. He is great at giving directions.

I miss my support group being five minutes away. I miss my family being two minutes away. I miss the familiar sound of the ocean or the way a breeze felt on a warm day in California. Spiritually, this Mystic, feels alone on this path. Sure, I have my great and wonderful partner with me. I have met great new friends and experienced new places, but I miss my home. I miss the fact that "bugs in the house" meant an ant or a spider, not the crazy roach. I miss the weather and how it would make up its mind in the early morning, not half way through the day and then decide to change again an hour later. 

Maybe this is my sound of "shattering glass". Maybe I am waking up from my state of sleep, with the sound of a trumpet, and here is the reality that Source wishes me to apply my new tools to?

In the end the restriction is only temporary. This is no different than any other obstacle. I know that my inner voice is calling out precise instructions to me. I know that I will come out of the field of swords with not a scratch on me. 

The real lesson that one must learn, is that with every obstacle we face in life, Source is calling out to us with perfect instruction. It is our decision that will either make the journey easy or difficult. Just because you can not see nor feel what is in front of you, then you also doubt what is being spoken to you. The greatest gift we can give our self, is the gift of Faith in the unknown. Source requires us to listen. Listen for the answer that is being presented. Sometimes we have to have our hands tied and eyes blind folded, in order to stop our momentum of movement. In order to be able to listen to the answer, or signs of danger, before us. In order for us to recognize the great love and light that is being given to us, by Source.

The Nature of Today's Energy 5.2.13: Pleasure

Thursday 5.2.13:

Do you know what comes to mind, when I think of the Nine of Coins? I think of the song "Favorite Things". The one that Julie Andrews sings in "The Sound of Music".

What are my favorite things that bring me pleasure?

The smell of fresh cut grass. The smell of rain in the air. Chocolate! Sweets! Cookies!
Being able to do a Tarot Reading for someone. The smell of a new/old book. Sunlight passing through the cracks of the blinds.

The card picked for today is about pleasure. Having more than enough to move forward with your dreams and goals, which can be deceiving at times. We sometimes think that this great state of being will never end. That change will never come knocking on our door.

As a Mystic, you learn to accept the change that has entered into your life. The change is not bad. As a matter of fact, the change is the best thing that could happen in your life, because you learn that it is always for the best. The real challenge is your intent during the process of change. Will you worry about what is to come? Not speak up about things that just do not seem right? Not raise your hand and state "Why"?

Or will you move with that change. Give the Universe positive intent of what will surely take place at the end. The result will be of good. 

The day will contain spiritual growth. A path will clear, one side of the road, that you are walking on. Hmmm? That was not there before. 

Source is giving you a path to new adventure. Are you going to take it? 
How can all of this relate to one card (the nine of coins)?

Many will relate this card to the Earth. Material matters. What we manifest into our reality. The object rather than the subject. 

I will relate this to our spirit, for the card sits within the position of Crow/Spirit. 

There are times when we think that we have all the spiritual fruit we need. We dismiss that which is truth and possibly could add to our "bag of tricks"(Felix the cat). 
We look at what is set before us and think "I never want to leave this wonderful state of good for if I do then I will be only faced with the state of bad". 
Really?

Do you always want to live in the state of fear that it will all be taken away? I do not. I know that the pleasure I have now, with the abundance of spiritual fruit, can always benefit from a little change. I know that if it was all taken away, then there surely will be something new to take its place...something better! 

Enjoy what you have at this moment, but do not carry it over to the next. There are many things in this life to enjoy, now pick which one you wish to experience. There is always more than enough. There is always greatness. There is always abundance. Sometimes the hidden path is not really hidden. It is simply covered by the blinders we place on the side of our eyes. Put your attention on the whole picture, rather than the a single spot. You will understand. You will know. 

Speak up! Raise your hand! Speak your Truth! It never hurts to put good out into the great whole for I know that only good can come from it.

The Nature of Today's Energy 4.19.13: The Idealist

Friday 4.19.13:

The Queen of Swords sits in the position of Lizard/Dreams/Strength/Weakness. 
The hidden energy card is Judgement. 

I turn to my spirit guide for answers.

Me: Is this a person in my life?
Spirit Guide: No
Me: Is this an energy that will be around me?
SG: No
Me: Is this an energy that I must take on?
SG: Yes. You must live it. 

When I speak to my spirit guide, there will either be a novel of information, or she will give me one word answers. How do I interpret the one word answer? 
I simply understand that my Spirit Guide is giving me a definite answer and that to question it will only cause me to form doubt within the process of love and life. 

I am to move through out my day and create that which is good. Good beyond belief. To move forward with everything that my heart is set on. Write...
She advised me to write what is within my heart, not within my mind. To create that which is good. To create that which is mine. I long for the past to reach the present. For that which has been, to follow suite and find my home once more. To regroup. To live within the moment of what is taking place at this time. 
To write. 

To feel pain of that which has passed. We all go through it. We all find peace in the moment that love presents itself to us. We think this is it. I surely can die and I will be happy. What happens when the moment is over. We wish for more. More of the same feeling within that experience. 

To write. 

She advises me to be inspired by what she is stating to me. It is not about the card, but it is about tapping into the energy that is around me. To write about what is happening at this very moment. 

If you seek Truth, then be truth. Be like the Queen of Swords. Speak your mind. You must accept what will come from that Truth. Are you ready to accept the Truth of the situation? Even if it means that you are wrong?
That I am wrong?

She leaves me with one last thought, one last statement. 
"If you wish to change that which is around you, you must start with your thoughts". 

So many have spoken this truth in the past. 

I do want to warn you about the shadow side of the Queen of Swords. You may want to contain the power that she has, of clarity and truth, but you must pay attention to that power. Are you using it to hurt or heal? Are you really seeking the Truth or stating your opinion? 
You must be open to everything that is around you and accept that which is being presented. The moment you do this, the truth will present itself. The struggle will be no more. The tools you contain in your hand, whether it be paint, clay, Tarot Cards, Crystals, and such, will make sense and you will be inspired to create. To create that beautiful masterpiece called "You", called "Me".

The Nature of Today's Energy 4.18.13: New Beginning

Thursday 4.18.13:

The energy of today will be about The Fool. New Beginning. A new adventure. Taking a chance without knowing what the outcome will be. Good or bad circumstances are created with every choice. 

The Fool card, to me, means leading with your mind and perception of that which is before you, where as the Hanged Man means leading with your heart and having Faith. We start out with a single step on our journey, into the unknown, and walk with the absence of direction. All we know at this very moment, is that we should be moving. 

The Fool sits in the position of Crow/Spirit. I long for something new. I long to return to what I know best, the Tarot. I desire to move forward with my spiritual journey.I have been reading Tarot cards and reading books, since I was 13 and now I am 36. I have had clients and have done party readings. Group readings and two hour sessions. I have tried just using my Tarot cards as a compass and also using my intuition and psychic ability to receive information. I have formed a relationship with my spirit guide, who I cherish and give thanks to everyday. I found that I can do a reading through email, absence of the client in front of me. I have a niche for it. I have developed my ability and my thought patterns, so that I understand that information is all around me, and I simply have to fish through it. What is next? I want to develop my healing abilities. I want to learn, but the big question is "who do I want to learn from?"

Who will I give my energy, money, and time to? Who will aid me the most? 

This has been on my mind, since I moved to Austin, and now I am ready to search and find that which is needed. The hidden energy card is The Sun. I always associate this card with finding your way home. The path becomes clear. Maybe I will find exactly what I am looking for? Or maybe I already have and now it is time to make a decision. 

What will the energy be like today? It will contain the energy that is needed to take your first step, in a new direction.
I will use the example of jay walking. I know, I know, it is a crime to jay walk, but I have always had this fear of doing it. Not because the law states it is wrong, but because you can die! Ahhhhh!
My partner and most of my friends are dare devils and seem to think that it is more reasonable to jay walk and get to the destination a little faster, rather than take the long way around. 
So, one day I was walking with my partner to the store. He does not trust Texas drivers and would rather jay walk than use the crosswalk, because he thinks that the cars at the cross walk will run us over. I know it sounds a bit crazy, but that is why I love him. I decided to try his method and route on this day. I found that I was out of my comfort zone. Most of the people I know will either be behind you or in front of you, and when they feel good and ready, they will cross. Half way crossed, they will look at you and say "Let's go!". This has left me traumatized and since I trust my instinct a little more than others around me, I decided to listen to my inner voice. My partner, Brian, decided to pull that trick on me and I stated "No!". I told him that it seems safer to cross a little further up. Normally I would just follow and run, with much fear in my heart, across the street at the very last minute. This time I took hold of the reigns and walked a little further up, where there were no cars in sight and it was not close to the busiest part of the street. I decided to follow my inner voice and be safe, rather than just do it because it seems like a good time. 

That inner voice is your companion that everyone refers to as the dog within the Tarot Card picture. Do we always listen? Nope. Do we always get it right? Nope. Then again, without mistakes, a lesson would not have been learned. 
When I see the Fool card, I think of the feeling associated with jay walking and how, if you ever have to do it, then you know that you must sometimes believe in the unknown, listen to your inner voice, and run!

Today you will be filled with this kind of energy. The anticipation of something wonderful or something scary, looming in the air, and you will have to leap. Will there be water at the bottom of your fall? Will there be a mattress or trampoline?
Source is the only one that knows. The thing you must keep in mind, is that you will arrive at your destination with everything that is needed. Sometimes, on our spiritual journey, we have to jay walk, to get to the other side. Sometimes we have to jump off a cliff, in order to move to a new time and space. One thing is for sure. The leap you take today will lead to greatness, according to the Sun Card. It will lead you one step closer to your home. Your center.
